Busing workers Portland 1939

Monner 4469

Girls going to work after arriving on a bus in downtown Portland, Oregon, next to the Oregon Journal building. Location is Yamhill St. looking west. On the right is the entrance to the public lavatory at Pioneer Courthouse. The next intersection up Yamhill is Sixth. The street has since become a eastbound one-way, and where the bus is pulled over is now where the Max streetcar tracks are. September 13, 1939
