Stump pulling with Spar Tree

Stump pulling and land clearing. A donkey engine is pulling the stumps by a spar tree into a big pile, which is about to burn. Neighbors gather on the wood pile for the photographer, giving scale to the size of the huge stumps. Location Clallam County, Washington ca. 1910-1920.
