Tom Stefopoulos Lovejoy Paintings

Tom Stefopoulos painted the Lovejoy Murals in 1948-49. He created these paintings on the concrete pillars supporting the Lovejoy St. overpass in NW Portland while employed as a train crossing watchman for the S.P.& S. Railway there.
These photos were taken in 1952 for a proposed newspaper story that never materialized.
