Waterfall on Ohanapecosh Highway 123

Waterfall on Ohanapecosh highway (Highway 123) which goes through Gifford Pinchot National Forest and is the south-east entrance for Mt. Rainier National Park. This is one of the many waterfalls on the highway, and has changed little during the last half century since this photo was taken on July 27, 1949. In the month previous to this photographers trip, President Truman had signed a Presidential Proclamation changing the Columbia National Forest into the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
