Indians on the Outskirts of Butte, Montana, 1900

An amateur photographer shot this picture from his wagon seat. His notes on the negative's original envelope said "Indians near Butte. 1900." The photographer, John Babtist, was a tea salesman who lived in Butte for the first few years of the nineteenth century and then moved to Missoula.
