Elevator Parking Garage SW Portland Oregon 1954
Pidgeon (sic) Hole Parking, at its original location at 801 SW Stark, Portland, Oregon. This was taken in the summer of 1954, shortly before the entire structure was moved two blocks south to 820 SW Alder. The misspelling of Pigeon was the least of their problems, the main reason they went out of business is because the unreliable elevator marooned their customer’s cars on the upper levels until repairs could be completed.
