The late photographer Juan Espinosa began his career as a professional boxer in Mexico City. In the early 1930's he retired from the ring and became a professional photographer. Over the course of his career he became one of the best known boxing photographers on this hemisphere. His widow still operates his portrait studio in Mexico City. Mrs. Espinosa could not recall the name of this wrestler. This is an early example of his work taken probably before 1936 (judging by the film type) on 5x7" nitrate sheet film.
