“Bert Hoover’s Newberg home” The story is about the boyhood home of then-president elect Herbert Hoover. The Minthorne home, which is located “two doors from the westerly end of the bridge, facing Canyon Creek.” The bridge is the “west side highway bridge, just east of Newberg’s business district.” The car is a Durant 75 Deluxe Sedan.

Location is 115 South River. this was the first residence built in Newberg, in 1881
