KEX Careful Commuter
The driver of the scooter is signing up for membership in KEX radio’s Careful Commuter Club. The station’s DJ’s spent a summer afternoon in 1960 drumming up drivers to visit the broadcast studio on the south side of SW Main between 12th and 13th. Motorists who arrived found an attractive recruitment team to apply their membership credentials. The buildings in the background are presently the location of I-405.
